We went in tonight to try the smaller dishes () after 8pm that they advertised. When we ordered, half of the menu (which happens to be the more expensive dishes) we’re not available. Food tastes fine, but service and the disappointment of not having many of the dishes on the menu definitely will keep me away from choosing this restaurant again.

I ordered food for 4 for $100 and it was a waste of money.. $20 worth seafood looked like a $7 entree. There was one scallop and the rest were shrimps and squids.. Wonton soup was disgusting!

This restaurant may seem grungy upon arrival but let their customer service and food wow you! My fave for combination of authentic Chinese food and service. The men that works here are all lifers and so friendly and efficient. The dishes are decent sized and tasty! When in season they had fresh seafood and sooo good. Currently they have live prawns – YUM!!

Golden inn is my absolute favourite Chinese restaurant and late night eatery in Calgary. I’ve been going here my whole life with my family and my dad has been frequenting since he was 18. The waiters are nice and funny and no bullshit. Food always comes out quickly and hot. What you MUST order 😉 Spicy squid (sooo crispy. The best salt and pepper squid you will ever have) Pan fried prawns (similar to spicy squid but prawns)Special chow Mein (crunchy noodles turned soft with bbq pork, chicken, mushrooms, squid and bokchoy) Chinese style pork chopsOyster chicken (deep fried chunks of chicken with oyster sauce) Gai land(Chinese broccoli) with garlic or oyster sauce Sometimes they have these giant steamed oysters on special and they are TO DIE for. Not kidding. Go here. Even when you’re drunk at 3am go here.

I love this authentic Chinese restaurant! Right in the heart of Chinatown and the best place to grab some excellent food after hours. You’ll get a very mixed crowd here after the bar on a Friday or Saturday night. It can be a bit rough so be careful if you’re going during those wee hours in the morning. Fantastic food but I really love the BBQ pork, curry noodles, and ribs.

Well I’ve been eating there since Pak Kut closed across the street, so not long – 30 years ….. OF course it’s great !!! It the best damm Chinese food restaurant in Calgary!!!

A Calgary Institution. This was my first Chinese restaurant experience in Calgary, and it hasn’t changed one bit in all the years since. Food is very good, and priced about average for Chinatown- the dinner for two is a great deal. Service is efficient and fast. I just really wish they didn’t feel the need to sell shark fin soup- it’s really depressing to see it on the menu still, with all we know about the cruel practice and its effect on our oceans. Come on Golden Inn, you don’t need to support this. Your loyal customers will still love you, and show up well into the wee hours, without the Soup of Sadness.
