I am pretty hAngry and cold that I needed spicy food. I am particular with food that goes along with rice, so lets go Korean. Before I order, group of Korean people was having some fun and asked me if I do eat SPICY. I said, I Do. Then the guy took this hot sauce from the kitchen which is called Capsai Sin Hot Sauce. They offered me a piece of Donkasu and put one small drop of the sauce. Tell you, it was freaking hot but tolerable. Anyway, it’s not part of the menu, you can’t order the hot sauce, so lets move on. The restaurant served me with miso soup, rice and breaded pork chop on top and tea. The serving was pretty big so I guess if you are small eater like me (Ha) the serving is good to share for 2 people. The server also suggested for me to try the pork bone soup (if I got the name right) since that’s one of their best seller and perfect for a cold weather. I will come back for their recommendation and a Japchae too. Watch out for coming up photos.
A fast food style place but restaurant quality food. I had their spicy pork with rice. Delicious, huge portion, good price, and friendly staff. The downside is that they only serve stone bowl at lunch hours. I went around 5 and did not get stone bowl and the selection was very limited. They said they serve the full menu before 3 PM. So the hours of full menu are not convenient unless you work in that area during the week.
Decided to try this joint out today after seeing a 4.6 in google reviews. I must say the korean pan cake is the worst I’ve had a korean restaurant. Soup was the chinese type maybe 3/5 and bibim was about 3.5/5. Over all if you are working at city hall and need korean food then yes I would go again. But if I’m driving around and have to pay for parking and eat there I would say very unlikely I would return.
I was so happy to have found this place last week. I stumbled on it and thought I would give it a try. Had their beef bibimbap and spicy beef soup…Delicious!Massive portions for the price, so you get your money’s worth!
My coworker brought me to this place for lunch today. It is convienently location off 7th Ave-Ctrain line, half a block from the library. This Korean restaurant specializes in their Stone Bowls for their Bibimbap. They heat the stone bowls over a hot fire and put in rice, veggies and variety of different meats ex. spicy pork, beef, chicken and a sunny side up egg. the bowl remains hot the entire time while you enjoy your meal. The best part is to add the Gochujang sauce (spicy sauce)on top and mix it in.. always makes the dish. They have some seating if you want to stay to eat but not that many. I will definitely be back again.
The food was great I will definitely come back again but I wish the customer experience was better … When I came in I was kinda greeted but instead of sitting then ordering , I was pushed to order and pay right away even though I was eating in … It took a 5-10 mins to get my food or less but I was sadden by the fact no one asked me if it was my first time there or if I needed water or anything to drink …. I think this place has really good potential to have more customers if they take care of the customers they have coming in. Hopefully next time I come back it will be better…
Affordable and a different but interesting way to enjoy Korean food. It is more of an on-the-go takeout style, good for a convenient lunch with a few people (not so much for large groups).
