  Bubble tea is really good, and decently priced. Chicken sate sub was perfectly toasted and made super quickly for me. Will return when in the area!

  My friend and I were at X-fest and decided to get some food before getting into the scene. I am a bit of a Vietnamese sub/banh mi snob so when we ordered the sub I didn’t have great expectations. Now I would assume that a bunch of the meats would be cooked and set aside in a huge container so that when someone order, they would just have to pluck out the ingredients and throw it into the sub after toasting it. All the orders seemed to take a long time, but I guess I can’t judge being that I haven’t ever worked in a food truck/ know of how the kitchen functions.Then our sub finally came out! We headed towards the stage and found a nice dirty place on the floor and started devouring our sub. And in my opinion… It was alright. The meat was good, nothing like the subs I had in Vietnam of course but pretty decent. My main complaint is that they REALLY shoved a lot of cilantro in there. I normally just pull mine out but in this sub you really have to dig in there to remove it.Either way, it was alright. One sub was enough to fill up two hungry girls.

  One of the best Vietnamese subs I’ve had. I hate to admit this – food trucks have been in Calgary for a while now and to this date I’ve not experienced any of the culinary delights from the food trucks, until now.Subs ‘n’ Bubbles recently made an appearance at the U of C. Seeing how it is summer and population on campus is light, I headed over to the food trucks (a little after 11 am) to see what the fuss was all about.On that particular day, there were 2 food trucks by the Art Parkade, Mr. Happy Day Fries and Subs ‘n’ Bubbles. I was hemming and hawing between the 2, and I was starting to lean towards Happy Day Fries when I made a last minute decision to choose Subs ‘n’ Bubbles, and I am glad I did.The menu isn’t extensive (it is a food truck after all), and the prices were average; I wound up ordering the bulgogi pork sub, with pickled onions, carrots,and cheese. I had to wait about 5 min for them to cook/prepare my lunch, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait.By the time I walked back to my office, the sub bun had already soaked up some of the yummy juice from the meat, mmmmmmmmm !!The bread was perfectly toasted – nice light crunch while maintaining a nice fluffy interior, but the filling was 2nd to none. Very generous portions of pork – well seasoned and some heat to it, the pickled carrots/onions were sooooo good, nice tang yet well balanced with sweetness. I’m not sure what kind of sauce they put on the bread, but it was good.With cheese, I paid $8.50, so it is a little on the pricier side but you do receive a very delicious Vietnamese sub in return.If there was anything to nitpick, I didn’t really receive very much pickled onions and I should have skipped on the cheese (would’ve saved $1), but that is splitting hairs at this point.Well worth the effort to track this food truck down (on the day they were at the University, they also had Saskatoon berry bubble tea, I regret not trying it).

  Delish!. We now count down to the day this truck is coming by work – great prices and good food and bubble tea. The butter chicken sub is so good.

  So tasty!. We’re so happy that we found these guys! Some of the absolute best vietnamese subs and bubble tea that we’ve ever had. We’ll be following this truck wherever it goes.
