Love the location, storefront, product aesthetic, and staff were really nice but the product wasn’t good. Got a sample while looking around. Can’t find it on their site now but it was green. The chocolate was absolutely beautiful (as all are) and the FILLING was to die for. It was covered in the thinnest layer of chocolate I’d ever seen though and it was really weird. Base chocolate piece was not attached to the top bit and the top cracked apart (like a revello does) right when I bit it. Chocolate a bit grainy at the end. This ain’t the filling lab. Might go back.

The staff is great, the product is second to none. Beautiful bonbons, soft and delicious fruity caramels and the bars. Can’t wait to see what these guys do next. Those who complain about service here need to check their privilege. These guys make amazing hand crafted items and kind and are very generous. I’ve witnessed the staff being harassed and taken advantage of and watched people try and manipulate the staff in getting special deals and service. Stay strong guys – you’re doing it right!
This place has the most beautifully hand painted chocolates I have ever seen. They look so amazing that you almost don’t want to eat them. Eating them is such a treat for your taste buds. The different flavours complement each other perfectly.
The chocolate lab is hidden on a side street in Chinatown in Calgary. You walk in to a clean, modern & open renovated store with a small sit down area, display counter with all the chocolate truffles and you can see into the back kitchen. I spoke directly to the chef and he was really friendly. He came out front to describe the flavours he created and that the chocolates are brightly coloured with cocoa and natural food paints. They look different and taste delicious. You can purchase tasting boxes of 6-12-24. The chocolate tastes smooth and rich, not bitter. I love all the infusions of flavour. This chocolate shop is worth a visit!! Lovely!
They just opened not too long , I pass by the shop many times. I decided to give them a try. disappointed, not only the services, but also the product. I will never come again.
Awesome in house made chocolate as well as caramels. We only get our sweets from here now. The flavours change and they are always inventing new ones. It is a lab after all.
Best chocolates in Calgary. Look no further for something to satisfy that sweet tooth. They have many flavours and each one tastes amazing. I don’t think I’ve tried a flavour that I don’t like.
