Had the bulgogi and kimchi pulled pork tacos….the bulgogi meat looked like roast beef from subway the pulled pork must mushy and tasted of fat. Then they put some runny white sauce on it that turned the tortilla to mush. Probably the most unpleasant things I have eaten in a long time.

The food is fresh and delicious! The staff are always very cheerful even though I go to their food truck during busy festivals and markets. They have a smooth system of handing out numbers to each customer waiting for their order, unlike most of the other food truck that simply call out your order or name. The portions are not bad, fairly reasonable in size compared to other trucks that cost more but have less.

A fusion of South Korean food and tacos… Could be an interesting combination. This is a food truck and to be honest I expected better… While the fish tacos are ok, they are really just battered fish in a taco, the mango sauce is by far the best part. We also had the cheesy poutine, and again it was just ok. A mix of large home fries with a bunch of small fries and gravy with a bit of cheese… There are lots of food trucks to choose from.

I like the fish in the fish and chips and have also enjoyed the fish and tempura prawn tacos. Unfortunately the fries are so bad that it costs them a full point. Its not that they taste bad its that there type of generic fries have no place on a food truck.

Had the signature taco platter which was 3 tacos.. one fried fish, shrimp, and beef. It was $12. It was fine but no explosive flavors. Nothing fancy. Each topped some kind of salsa.

Found out The Happy Fish was at work today and I thought I’d give them a try. Their Kimchi Fries are outstanding. I was lucky enough to hit them while they weren’t busy, so it was quick, easy, and a little on the pricey side, but well worth it. Only thing I could say was a downtick were their spring rolls. They were inexpensive partnered with the fries, but the general oilyness of them suggests that they’re not running their fryer quite hot enough.Overall, I definitely recommend you give The Happy Fish a try if you encounter them in your day-to-day life if for nothing other than the kimchi fries. Definitely going to give them another kick one day.

Just drove past and decided to give them a try. We got the fish and chips. Great crispy fish, nice fries, Tartar sauce has just enough tangyness and my daughter loved the Cole slaw. We’ll be looking for them again another day 🙂
