    – Breaking News -I have been to every greek restaurant in Calgary and I have to say that Vasilis is BY FAR the most delicious greek food in YYC.I was lucky enough to have them cater my wedding, and EVERY guest commented on how great the food was. We worked with April ( who owns and runs business with her family – yes we are talking about amazing family recipes) on a menu and came up with something that would suit our guest preferences. The Bocconcini skewers were fabulous, the meatballs are the best i have ever had (seriously, i still daydream about them), the home made spanakopita had me drooling. The pasta salad, which i think alot of people can make, was so over the top good, that i gained a few pounds after MULTIPLE plates full. On a side note, the secret to the pasta salad was some kinda soft cheese in it. Spectacular. The skewers were super yummy. there was veggie (very colourful) and chicken and pork. I am now spoiled for their pork skewers. there is no other that my palatte craves more. Most importantly, the Tzatziki was home made with love, and had a secret ingredient (that i WONT give away) that gave it a depth and taste that OPA (my 2nd fav tzatziki) is likely still trying to figure out. Don’t even get me started on the greek salad. It was so fresh and so good!Vasilis arrived on time, well prepared, and looking professional and delivered this amazing menu to a group of 50 with absolutely no issues or delays. There was GREAT value for the money I spent.I haven’t any pics to share at this point. I was too busy eating to try and instagram anything. Living in that moment, I was in heaven. Yeah, sure i got married that day, and that on its own was really special. But, for Vasilis to come in and ‘raise the level’ of experience for my guests and my wife, I cannot thank them enough.I expect to visit their restaurant often, and make a note to find their food truck too.Do yourself a favour. Eat there. Your taste buds will thank you. your wallet will thank you. Plus you will look like your ‘in the know’ as this place is LEGIT!!!To anyone who reads this review and eats some Vasilis, your welcome !!!

Best Greek Salad Ever!. Best Greek salad I’ve ever had. Great big pieces of fresh veggies in a deceptively simple dressing. I could have sworn the feta was goat, but apparently it’s Macedonian cow feta from Montreal – soooo moist and creamy! And I get it with the marinated chicken, so it’s the best of both worlds! In my experience, this is the best food truck in Calgary. Going to miss it when the summer months are over…

Twisted Pig on Canada Day!. Tried the Vasili’s Food Truck yesterday on Canada Day at Eau Claire! got the twisted pig wrap! waited approx 35 mins in line! only good part about the wrap was a tender pork pieces and the creamy feta cheese and the homemade tzatziki! i’d give this truck a /5

OMG that cheese…. The blend of all of the flavours and textures in my chicken pita wrap was perfect not too much tzatziki (no matter how much I adore that sauce…) and an amazing creamy, flavourful feta cheese. I think I would use this stuff like icing on cakes if I could… its that delicious. Ok.. no one else might like to EAT my cake but I dont see a problem with that either. MORE CAKE FOR ME!

Had to have the Zeus, feta stuffed meatballs on a pita with arugula and peppers. I wont be getting it again. it was disastrous to eat it was so messy. There may have been 1 single pepper on it, and next to no arugula. They could easily fix this by being a but more generous and reducing the size of the meatballs. My friend had a big bird and found it bland. Total bill for 2 pita seas $19.00

Where are my veggies?!. I got the Zues – a pita with meatballs (stuffed with feta), marinara sauce, spring greens and sweet peppers… except that it contained about 3 leaves of the elusive spring greens and 2-3 slices of peppers. The meatballs were lovely, but I expected a little more for $8.50.

Really good food, delish chocolate chip cookies, soft and chewy! Be prepared to wait a while at lunch as only one woman working the kitchen
