In our quest to find the best shawarma near our new place,A&K is the closest to our location, but both me and my boyfriend agree it’s the last on our list. The portion size isn’t as generous as other near by shawarma joints, and we’ve had them cut off chicken and not even give us the full amount. Aside from that though, we’ve just consistenty found the meat really bland and lacking in flavour, and that’s after giving them three chances. The service here also is pretty bad. They seem almost annoyed to be serving you, and anxious for you to leave. Despite the convenience of it’s location, we wont be back. Adana or Alibaba Kabob are much better value, taste, and they’ll be polite while serving you.
Best donairs ever! The schwarmas are pretty good along with the falafels. Its run by really nice staff. Its a good eating atmosphere. Sometimes when I’d eat there, as I was locking my bike, they would offer me to bring my bike inside. They really take care of you.
Excellent Mediterranean food! The prices are also excellent. I’m SO happy to have discovered this place and I’ll be a frequent customer. If you don’t mind paper plates and plastic cutlery, the excellent quality food and friendly service will win you over!
The most yummy and consistently good shawarma I’ve yet found in the city! All of the dishes, all of the flavours are so amazing you cant stop admiring and savouring each individually and then digging in and pooling them together – returning for more because they’re always good… If you’re a shawarma/foreign foods person … You have to indulge – in my books it’s not good unless you’re up to your elbows and grinning through pickles, humous, bread, meats, tabouli salads, garlic sauce, potatoes, wishing you could eat more and contemplating baklava for desert ….My only wish is A&K will use environmentally friendly take out containers!
Nice family run business. Good idea to wrap the pita with traditional bread. Chicken shawarma was quite tasty and price was ok. Will visit again.
