This used to be our favourite restaurant. However, the change in ownership has brought the quality of food down with it. The food used to be a little pricier for better quality. Salmon sushi is so stringy. Dinner box used to be this Italian ice cream, now comes out of a bucket. The service is terrible as well, didn’t see one smile come out from anyone’s face. Never coming back.
Super fresh sushi! Pick up or delivery options are great! Have tried multiple rolls, don bowls, and teriyaki bowls and all have been perfect! I wouldn’t change anything about their food.
Tried this place out because of the high reviews, however it was nothing special. It was decent, I enjoyed it, and I imagine it’s great for people living close by with families. However it would not make my top 5 sushi in Calgary list, nor would I drive to any length to it again. I was particularly turned off by the fact our tuna sashimi was still frozen in the middle. Other than that the fish tasted fresh enough and our rolls were good, but I just wasn’t blown away by anything – except the edamame beans, out of all things… Tastiest edamame beans in Calgary – I will give them that.
bad service. server forgot to put our menu in and had to wait 30 minute before he figured it out. He then brings us a wrong menu. Would not go again.
Mediocre sushi and tempura in a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Ordered a few sushi rolls and veggie tempura. Thin flavourless tempura batter left us wanting. The volcano roll was tasty, but mostly because it had a crispy blackened flavour from being blow-torched or something. Two of our rolls, a veggie and tempura roll, were so huge they were impossible to eat without having them fall apart everywhere. Even if you could jam it all in your mouth in a single bite, the flavours were bland and nothing like what we are used to.They must have been training new staff, who were very attentive, but it was overwhelming having three people simultaneously swarm our table.
