This is my go to pub in the West End. It has a nice atmosphere and food usually comes out pretty decent. the burgers are good, and wings are good too (even on wing night). Great place to go to for a drink, and their upstairs patio is pretty nice.

Best Shepard’s I’ve ever had! Staff are good, but nothing over the top. Beer taps could use a cleaning though – it always tastes kinda off. Pizza is pretty good and the perogie & sausage was great. Wings were good but nachos were not fantastic.
Came here for lunch on Saturday and there were a couple of tables and only one server. We ordered crispy dry ribs tossed in hot sauce and they were good. I had the avocado chicken sandwich with ripple chips and I loved it. Food was hot and chips were super crispy. My husband got the chicken schnitzel and enjoyed it. Good pub food.
The best thing is the location, 2 mins walk from Sirocco LRT. It’s a kinda Irish pub, sort of, not too authentic really. The booths are good but the tables and seating are really worn and need an upgrade. The servers are usually friendly, particularly Paige who is so nice, helpful and genuine. Average choice of beer, not many local craft brews on tap. The food is typical pub food and is not bad at all. The place is busiest early evening when commuters get off the train, and also when there is a sporting event on (they have a few screens).
Catsky. We were there two nights ago….very slow service and the food (fish & onion rings ) was awful…greasy and nearly burned….we live close and went there often but things have gotten worse and worse…..will find another pub in the area…this one has lost us..
Used to be good. So sad that this pub has gone downhill. I have frequented Shillelaghs in the past when it was newer but now I have not had a good experience in a few years. I am not surprised that the pub does not fill their tables anymore.First of all, the restaurant is old and dirty. It has not been repaired in years. Many of the booths and chair have tears in them and the wood is chipping everywhere. The bar usually has only the after work men hanging out for a beer and if you are a single female you will be ignored by the servers. The service is terrible. The last time I was there, and likely the last, I waited 11 minutes to order my drink and another 14 to get a menu. Note that I only stayed to retrieve my statistics. I ordered a sandwich and 34 minutes later, she came and told me that my food was dropped on the floor and they needed to make a new one. We left. I have been dissatisfied with the service and environment for a while but gave it a chance because the food is still OK for an Irish style pub. Personally, I think that a facelift and a service improvement would have Shillelaghs booming again!
