First off, this restaurant deserves a higher rating than what it has. There’s not many good Chinese restaurants outside of Chinatown and the NW, thus Signature Palace is a diamond in the rough. It’s a favorite for the Chinese community living in the SW, which is why its always so busy. Plus they have a very busy takeout business. They have great authentic Chinese food and also western Chinese food as well, depending on your tastes. The food is consitently tasty, with generous potions and value. While the service isn’t always the best due to the busy nature of the restaurant, the servers try their best (and are really nice!), and if you’re patient you’ll get what you need. You’ll love this place, try it!
We celebrated our friends 40th bday here tonight and reserved 2 tables of 12. My friend had called ahead and preordered 9 dishes for each table. If anyone has been to a chinese wedding before you would know the multiple courses that would come out to the table and eat it family style. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait a bit for them to set up the tables. Service was fast and friendly and food was pretty good. We had hot and sour soup, peking duck, ginger beef, black bean green bean, snowpea with seafood, crispy almond chicken, fried rice, salt and pepper squid, sweet and sour pork. Would definitely come back again.
Well, what can I say other than everything went great. The food was fresh, and yummy. From first stepping in the door we were seated instantly despite a full restaurant. The staff was attentive and even provided a yummy pork soup. They smiled and had a great attitude. The combination of food, and great service will have me coming back here.
Being of Chinese descent myself, I honestly feel that this is some legit Chinese food. The prices are great and the menu selection is big. Very authentic and I come here often for dine in and take out!
I’ve drove by this place a lot but I never tried it fearing it wouldn’t be good. I finally went there yesterday and surprisingly the menu is really big. The service was pretty good here as well. The waitress recommended the pan fried peppers, eggplant and tofu stuffed with fish paste and it didn’t disappoint. The fish paste would have been better with some cilantro and green onion in it but it was still good. We ordered the beef brisket with daikon and the waitress asked if we like tendon. I don’t eat it but my partner in crime does so we said yes. There was a lot of tendon in the dish and that was a pleasant surprise because a lot of Chinese restaurants don’t serve tendon with this dish. The dish would have been better if they stewed it longer because the daikon wasn’t flavourful. It’s my first time eating sizzling rice but I can’t say that I like it. The ginger beef was decent the sauce needed more spice and it would have been great. The Szechwan green beans were nice and flavorful. This is a good option if you don’t want to drive far for Chinese food. They have a big menu so I will come back to try other dishes.
Tried this place out with my mom yesterday. I really like the atmosphere and the service. The food was pretty good too.HOWEVER, the food did not agree with me. My mom and I had consumed the same amount of food, except I ate the beef from the beef chow fun and she did not. By consuming that, I had developed food poisoning.I want to believe the chefs hands were clean or that the meat was contamination free, but after suffering through food poisoning from this restaurant, I can’t get myself to believe it.
Good food!. My husband and I dropped ithe night before Mother’s Day. The placed was absolutely packed with families, primarily Chinese. We did not have too wait too long for a table. There were many dishes being served that I did not see on the menu. We ordered from the menu. I loved the dumplings and beef with black bean sauce. At the end of the meal I asked about the special dishes. I was told people ordered ahead, and she ran to the grocery store for the needed items. Order ahead if you want something special and make reservations!
