I used to love coming here. I find that the new owner is very cheap with the size of Donair, costs like $11:00 for a jumbo, and it came with barely any meat. I will never come here again. For how much the owner actually pays for the meat he is very cheap. You lost this customer for good.
I come from North Edmonton so I am a little spoiled or accustomed to good eats The Donair here was huge, and the taste was great. The sweet sauce was the right flavour and the variety was very good.
If you are squeamish about the looks of a place, just don’t come here. Lol. I promise the donairs are Sooo good. The portions are redonkulous. I just wish it was cleaner and that the dude making them would wear gloves. I did see him wash his hands several times while there so I ate it.
I’ve had a lot of Donairs. Jay’s is the best. Good Quantity, Fresh ingredients and the cheese is melted every time. Not to mention they don’t chop up the meat in tiny little pieces, nice thick strips.
I have many donairs and this by far is the best. They do make really super sized ones as well if you are up to it! They are extremely friendly and always smiling.
