Just ok. Have been many times and each time feel like things are l slowing going down. The menu is limited and the liquor menu is terrible unless you drink wine, which unfortunately I don’t. The atmosphere is lacking and too open but the service is decent. It used to be our favorite spot in Spruce but nothing to rave about anymore.

A dear friend and I visited Porta Romana’s for the first time Saturday evening. We fortunately were seated without reservations. I had the seafood Cannelloni, it was the best dish I’ve eaten in years, (memorable). My friend had the Salmon, and loved it, she’s not a big eater..but ate every bite. The atmosphere is wonderful..There’s a fireplace…also nice view from windows of Central Park with all the lit trees. Our server was very friendly and gave us great service. I highly recommend this restaurant. I live out of town but plan to visit when I am in town.

A great place to go with friends. Friendly staff and good food. However the bar menu was lacking in variety but their wine selections were good. I had the one of their specials. It was a butternut squash ravioli with browned butter and sage and it was very rich and tasty. One of my friends had the lasagna and my other friend had the scallop and asparagus pasta which they both loved but the portions were a bit too large for them so they were able to bring the rest home to enjoy again later. Unfortunately no room for dessert. We would have liked a liquor with our coffee but the selection of liqueurs was very limited. All in all it was a good experience. I would recommend this restaurant to others.
