Just discovered this gem! The young chow fried rice and the szechuan beef is incredible! The best! Very good customer service. Haven’t ate in yet always get take out and have not been disappointed yet. Fast and great service.
Fantastic food, sad customer service. We moved to Spruce Grove 2 years ago, and Thang Long was the first vietnamese restaurant we tried, and after that take out experience, we decided there wasn’t much need to try elsewhere. Yesterday however, we actually went in for lunch. Up until then, we had only ever picked up our food to go. There was one large group and one table of 2 already being helped when we walked in. At first service seemed great, we hadn’t decided what we wanted yet so they kept checking in. Once we placed our order: fried wontons, lunch size pad thai, teryaki udon and a vermicelli bowl. After we ordered, another larger group came in. Our appetizer (wontons) hadn’t come out yet, and the table that was seated after we ordered started getting food. It seemed as though the staff knew them as regulars. My husband’s vermicelli bowl came out after that, but nothing else was on the way. His food was cold by the time my order and my daughter’s order came out. They said it was because it was busy, but why did a table that ordered after us get food before we did? The food as usual, was fantastic, but due to the service, I doubt we will go back there to eat in. We may still do take out, but we don’t have the same opinion of the place as we had before.
Great food. Excellent servic…. Great food. Excellent and very friendly service. Large portions. What more can you ask for? One of the best Asian places around. We will be back as soon as possible!
We usually end up at a different Vietnamese restaurant that is closer to home but always enjoy Thang Long. The specials are always great but the classic Pho and vermicelli standbys are solid choices too.
I will only order Asian food from thang long. The food is delicious, the waitress we normally get is a peach, and I never leave feeling gross or greasy. Nothing better than their wonton soup, coconut rice, or vermicelli bowls. Just so good and reasonably priced. You won’t regret eating here 🙂
