Good food. Good service
Worst placeMoney spent is not worth
Start the car!!!. Went out for a taste of India and we had a taste of disappointment. Did not do their buffet – fewf!!Butter chicken was watered down / too watery. Service was polite … but OMG … get rid of the baseball cap!!The Aloo tiki was very bland and … soaked in deep fry. Disappointed. Our plates were streaked of the grease. Also had the lamb saag — found any tenderness gone – very dry meat and over spiced. Where’s the water!!! The vegetables in the hot plate were fine … as well ,,, the rice too.The bowls / cutlery / plates were looking very old / tired. Decor was … very 80’s and dark.Had been to the South side locale a few times in the past – it’s now under a different name. Maybe should have tried that place??NOT going back!!!
Bland and disappointing. Decor from the 1980’s, all the food tastes the same is orange and hot with little variance in the flavours, watery butter chicken. We ordered shrimp biriyani and it was bland like rice a Roni with tobasco sauce. Take out service was very disappointing over charged for small portions. Never again.
Their butter chicken is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever put in my mouth. Never go there for butter chicken or any sweets. If you want good butter chicken try pizza 34 in Southside.
Not very good. I’ve eaten at quite a few Indian restaurants in Edmonton and this one is pretty mediocre. I ordered the Aloo tiki and the Naan and it was pretty bland. Very little seasoning or salt in the Aloo tiki and the Naan tasted like baking soda. The service was slow and not very friendly. There are better Indian restaurants in Edmonton.
Went in for dinner on Wednesday night and did their buffet. Small corner restaurant by the gas station. Buffet -(maybe 15 mains, 5 sides, 5 desserts) everything on there was really good and worth the affordable price ($17 a person). They brought out fresh naan bread to the table. Faves were the butter chicken, tandoori chicken (moist on inside crispy on the out), some sort of potato dish, and other curries (mushroom, lamb…) and the rice. The food was good or amazing and service was friendly. We’re not huge Indian food eaters but we were impressed by this gem! Definitely recommend it!
