I have been coming here for over a year and the servise is HORRIBLE. Every week it’s a different server and she is always disinterested in serving. Typically we wait 45 for our FIRST service and it’s usually disinterested. If you want to sing (which is WHY u come here) then u best come TWO HOURS before 1am last call. This is NO way to run a business.
Bad Night. I have been going here for a year now off and on. Twice now an obnoxious group of teens from Heritage Park who all work there have come got wasted to a point where the bouncer should have kicked them out. They insulted every person who wasnt in their party. They quite frankly ruined my friends and Is time. The first time we ignored but they second time they were allowed in and not kicked I have an issue. Due to this and seeing them act like this because they are young they have a right to be jerks I have now moved my choice of bar somewhere else. These kids should have been cut off and kicked out.
Great time at Duckys! The service was friendly and fast even though it was packed. Didn’t try anything on the menu though. Karaoke was a blast, amazed at some of the local talent. Worth checking out.
Rude bar-tender. I recently went to Ducky`s to meet a couple of friends coming from an office Christmas party. After my friend had bought the first round, I went to the bar to get water for the two of us. The bar-tender responded with “if you plan to drink water all night, I`m going to have to charge you for it.“ I had ordered one water from the bar, and, remembering that I had forgotten my friend, went back to order another. Apparently, ordering two waters in a row is against the rules at Ducky`s and elicited this wholly inappropriate reaction. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the bar-tender and returned, speechless, to the table. I implore all those reading this review to rethink their choice of bar, and find another place to satisfy their karaoke cravings. Ducky`s has no consideration for customer service, and cynically views every patron as just another item on their daily balance sheet.If you are looking for bars with karaoke everyday, I would recommend Nanta on 6th St. Down-town. It’s more authentic, and the bartenders do not chastise you for ordering a glass of tap water. Avoid Ducky’s if you can.
I experienced the worst service I’ve ever had at a bar here. I was with a large group and the server came to the table maybe 5 times in 4 hours. I sat there for 2 hours and was not asked once if I wanted something. When people tried to call her over they were ignored. The food menu has next to nothing on it. I will not ever be coming back.
Paaaarrrteeeee. Whenever I’m in Cowtown this is where I party – Best Karaoke in town, hands down.
Rockin good time!!!!!!. WOW – what a party place!! Was there on Sunday at the Lilac Festival and it was crazy good. The singing the dancing was so much fun! Location is great right in the middle of action Calgary. Its been there for years, stable steady and always ready for fun! Pubs come and go in Calgary but Ducky’s remains. An oldie but a goodie . Thanks for all the good times! 🙂
