Very fresh and delicious but not the best in Calgary. Don’t try it on their busy days or hours; service was average. I like their sake bombs. Maybe return.
Fantastic service.Very happy and chirpy. Quite a diverse menu.Food came out quickly and was of excellent quality. Reasonably priced. Definitely check it out!
The sushi is very fresh and it’s not overpriced. I think the owners are the staff and they are so accommodating and sweet. I love the older woman that waits on us. She’s so cute. It’s One of our favourites.
JUST NOOOOOOOO!!!!My husband and i spend 60 dollar for lunch. With one tuna tataki 4pc sashimi 2pc sushi , dragon roll and negi toro roll. It takes about 30mins wait to our first meals. The dragon food is fine. But the sashimi is really bad It is in room temperture and not fresh. I can tell it must placed for at least two days. The spicy salmon sushi is really sweet and is not spicy. I will call that is sweet salmon sushi. And as u can see the portion is really really small and thin. We won’t come back any more. There are lots of places better than hana sushi. Too expensive and bad tasting.
Had dinner at Hana Sushi and the experience wasn’t all that great. Service was average. Water was topped up, food was brought out right away, but servers weren’t all that friendly. I had the teriyaki chicken. It comes with a small salad, some miso soup, and a child sized serving of rice. Compared to other restaurants, the chicken dish itself was a generous portion for $16.99, but was average in terms of quality and taste. Other reviews are raving about the sushi and sashimi, but I won’t be back to try them.
Some of the consistently best sushi in town. The restaurant has been around forever, and while the decor is dated, the food more than makes up for it. There is a wide assortment of inside and outside rolls, as well as shashmi, cone rolls, tempura, etc. The rolls don’t have too much rice, are well made and balanced. Shashimi cuts are a good size. Solid consistent service.
Hana Sushi is a hip and urban sushi restraunt in trendy Mission. My boyfriend and I had a sushi craving and had the task of choosing between many of the highly rated sushi bars in Mission. The wide assortment of sashimi and nigiri sold us on Hana.Atmosphere is super cute and fits in well with the Mission vibe. We started with the small assorted Tempura which was very crispy and fresh. The shrimp are coated in a different batter than the veggies which was more heavy but very crispy. We were highly impressed with the quality of the fish used. The salmon tasted fresh and melted in your mouth. By far the best salmon sashimi I’ve had in the city! The we ordered a variety of sashimi as well as a dynamite roll and the Black Pearl roll – all of which were presented beautifully. A highlight of the meal was the Tempura shrimp in the dynamite roll was still warm when we got it – fresh Tempura in a roll is hard to come by these days!We will definitely be coming back to Hana Sushi for our sushi fix. Servive was great and food was well paced coming from the kitchen. A little pricier than some places in the city, I find the quality of the fish and the flavour of the sushi rice to be more than worth it.
