Great place for brunch or lunch. The tables were really close together which made it hard to not overhear everyones conversations. The beef tartare was probably one of the best Ive had! It was my first time trying galette and I cant say I would order it again – the bacon was super dry and there was nothing much special about the whole thing. Would come back for the tartare alone and try their pasta though!
This is where the French come to loudly speak French and look around to be sure that other people are watching them speak French. Even the French dont do that in France, they are generally more put together. Itd also be great for the wait staff to stop talking to en Francais once they realize that youre not into it. Anyways. Cute bistro. Good food. The galettes are quite nice and they are entree sized. I dont like sharing my plate with others but does make me wonder if its wise to order multiple items and share, to get to experience more. Or better yet Ill keep going back until I have tried everything on the menu because Ive been satisfied thus far. Ive had multiple items already and nothing thats turned me off. I hear the Mission location is superior to the new one in Britannia.
I love this place, the interior is elegant. The atmosphere is bright and it’s a great place to take folks out (especially out of town visitors) to try out. The crepes are so good and buttery.However parking options in that area sucks.
This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites in the city. From the savory galettes (the potato, bacon, and mushroom is my favorite) to the mussels and beef tartar, I have never been disappointed with the food here. The service is also always incredibly friendly and informative and the atmosphere and decor are beautiful. Would highly recommend Suzette to anyone looking for an all around lovely dining experience.
Nice little place on 4th street. Went here for brunch on the weekend. Had the savory brunch crepe and it was really good. Only knock was the crepe was a little pricey. Will be back to try a sweet crepe for sure.
I’ve been here twice now and both times have been lovely. Suzette’s piece de resistance is definitely their crepes – both savoury and sweet. Large, hearty and delicious all around. The restaurant is cozy especially when filled up, which it is often. At my last visit, I shared the Paysanne galette filled with bacon, potato and mushrooms. It comes with quite a large side salad as well which makes it a great single entree or nice for sharing as well. I also ordered the Suzette Tagliatelle pasta because I love me a sunny side egg on pasta! This was also quite a tasty dish, extremely rich and dense in it’s flavours. I favor pasta dishes from some of the other neighboring restaurants so I would have to say if you have to pick anything off the menu, stick with the galettes or crepes for sure. Absolutely gorgeous lunch at this little unassuming gem. The basic Breton decor and simple elegance was comforting and welcoming. The service was spectacular and the food blew me away. I could eat here once a week and never be disappointed highly recommend, well everything. I loved it.
