We decided to buy a Groupon for this restaurant as we wanted to try it out. It was worth the try. The food portions were well served. The food we ordered had a good variety with different sauce base. The owners are welcoming and patrons are well looked after. The owners wife suggested we order a different chicken dish as one of the other dishes we had ordered would have a similar sauce. I appreciated that input as I like different variety in the food. The kids also enjoyed as the sauces can be made mild/spicy according to ones choice. We will certainly return again to this hidden gem. Good quality food, good portion size, nice spacious restaurant, and very good customer service 🙂
The food her is pretty good. The reason for the low mark is that the chicken is horrible!!! It’s rubbery. Seems like it’s been frozen than microwaved or something.. I’m not sure.. But they need to change that.. I would not go back, low quality meat just turns me off
We went in with a group on coupon, and there was a misunderstanding whether or not we could use it. Our server was very rude and ended up getting her phone from the back to try and prove us wrong, instead of calmly explaining the circumstances. Then she brought over the manager who said he would allow us to use it that day, and after we expressed our discontent to how clear the group on ticket was, he decided we would no longer be able to use it. Very unprofessional and disrespectful! Will definitely notBe returning due to rude staff and management, and do not recommend to anyone.
Phenomenal! We ordered the sweet lassi, mango lassi, samosas, veggie balls, lamb curry, coconut rice, and the garlic naan. The food came out promptly, and it was honestly the best Indian food I have ever tasted. It wasn’t incredibly spicy, but we were blown away by how well the flavours came together. Not only that, the service was really sweet, the waiter gave lots of suggestions when he saw we weren’t sure of what to order, and they came up and checked on us frequently. Really genuinely friendly people. Even though we live far way, we’ll definitely be back!
This place has the best Indian food I have ever had. It’s consistently excellent. The service is authentically friendly. Try the garlic naan, vindaloo beef and coconut rice. Its unreal. The butter chicken is pretty awesome too. We often show this place off to our guests who visit Cochrane.
My husband and I have eaten at almost every East Indian restaurant in Calgary and surrounding area and this is by far the best! We will gladly drive the 45min from our home for dinner. You must try the Chicken Handi and the Shrimp Korma.
Very disappointed. After reading all the good reviews on this place I decided to try it. Now first let me tell you I’m not a picky eater or just one of those reviewers who just wanna be negative. I ordered butter chicken, Madras coconut vegetable and coconut rice and garlic naan. First the Madras coconut I honestly couldn’t eat. There was something bad about it. The rice also had a weird taste along with being a little burnt. The naan bread was soggy and very doughy. And the butter chicken was well butter chicken. I have made better butter chicken from a jar. All in all. A lot of food was wasted tonight I hate to say.
