Food is surprisingly decent, and reading the menu makes your mouth water. (Lots of choices that I wants to take them up on.) Those who I have been with have enjoyed their food as well. Friendly service, but not always prompt. So far I’ve been when it’s quiet, and it doesn’t really feel like your average saloon. It’s nice for dinner time.
The Texas Gate …..very clean, staff is friendly. Food was great.I had the cinnamon french toast with sausage it was great!!!! i went with my husband, he had eggs bennie, was really good. I would definetly go there again!
Soooo disappointed…. We just moved to Cochrane a month ago and decided to have dinner at the Texas Grill Steakhouse, dinner lounge side as we have a toddler. We ordered an appetizer, two specials (Jack Daniel ribs) and a kid meal. Everything we had was not fresh, tasteless, and dry. Which kid does not eat its grilled cheese? Even this one was under expectations. Very very disappointed by the ribs considering this is a steakhouse, in fact these were the worst ribs we ever had so far.Other than maybe a cold beer on the patio in summer time, we will definitely never go back for dinner.We were the only one there for dinner between 5 pm to 6 pm, maybe this is a sign. The decor is oldfashion western style which is nice.
Been here a couple times. Food is very good and well priced. Service was good, friendly and food came out fast. Only thing I didn’t like was the gravy, very buttery.
The food was good (except the gravy was too salty and buttery). Service was good, and food came out in a reasonable time. I’ll go back for sure.
Good specials. We stopped in one afternoon for a beer and hopefully some decent food. We left happy. I think it was $5 for steak sandwich with fries, and they were good. With those and a beer or two each the bill was under $20. There were only a couple other people in the whole place but service was good and friendly.
