Excellent takeout lunchboxes: I recommend the BBQ pork and roast pork. No seating space so it’s takeout only.Very reasonable prices, extremely fast service. All-around reliable.
Come here for fast and quick BBQ of your choice (pick 2) lunchbox for less than $10. A couple of my friends and I came to buy take out each to take on our float (yes! Floating down the bow river). The portions were generous, we were all able to eat half and save the other. I personally had the duck and pork. The pork isn’t as salty as many other BBQ places. The skin is crispy. Duck tastes like regular BBQ duck. Ask for extra sauce on your rice! I usually get extra ginger sauce. Come here for your BBQ needs!
Total bust. Grabbed a lunch box with bbq duck & pork. Pork was very dry, duck was ok but portion very small ( you pay extra for the duck). Flavourful spice, but it was a total bust – skin had no crispness; it was totally limp. Rice was soggy, no Sauce on the side. Threw out the rice, ate the duck and bits of the skin, choked down half of the pork and fed the rest to the dog. At least she thought it was good.
Never again…. I purchased a roasted pig today at BBQ express, and played $ 180.Meat was terrible: tough, very dry…felt like eating an old shoes.Will never buy meat from them again, and can not believe to pay $ 180 for that!!!!

Cant go wrong. You cant go wrong with BBQ express for lunch if you are in the area..I have been going there since I was in highschool, even though prices have gone up a dollar or two its still a fast and filling meal…BBQ pork and sausage is amazing
Delicious chinese bbq. I’ve tried bbq meats from various chinese establishments, and BBQ Express has got to be one of the best I’ve had.I’ve tried their bbq duck, char siu, and bbq pork – the only thing I’ve yet to try is their soya sauce chicken – and all three items are incredibly delicious.The way they cook their duck, it has a really crispy skin, no big globs of duck fat (maybe small pockets here and there), and the meat, especially the breast, is very moist and tender.As for the char siu and bbq pork, I always ask for the lean cut, and while some other place’s lean cuts are dry almost to the point where the meat flakes apart, BBQ Express’ lean cut is moist and very tender. The man who chops up the meat makes a concerted effort to fulfill your request, everytime I ask for the lean cut I get exactly that, no bone, little fat, awesome ! I also found it flavourful, loads of pork flavour and not overpowered by the red sweet sticky sauce on the char siu nor the bean paste they use on the inside of the bbq pork. This place offers a lunch box special (never tried it though), and on weekdays I don’t find it too busy but on weekends it is quite bustling. I would skip Sun’s next door and go here for your chinese bbq meats, service is fast and you get what you asked for.Just a note, this place is take out only, there is no room in there for you to sit and eat.
