We came to Central Grand for a 10 course meal to celebrate a birthday. Both the food and service were good. 1. Cold cuts – assorted meats 2. Stir fried celery, shrimp and chicken3. Shrimp balls covered in sliced almonds4. Lobster with cream sauce 5. Assorted mushrooms and pea shoots6. Crispy chicken with colorful prawn chips7. Steamed Fish 8. Special fried rice9. Yee mein (noodles)10. Fish maw soup (not pictured) The only issue with coming here is the parking lot. It’s faster and much easier to just park on the streets.
For lunch today I decided to give the dim sum a try here. If you’ve never been here before these guys are located on 16th ave and center street on the 2nd floor of tops supermarket. Upon entering into the restaurant we were welcomed by the host who quickly got us a table and automatically served us tea. The dim sum here still comes in the old push cart style where each push cart offers a different variety of dim sum. This restaurant seems to have a larger selection than other places I’ve been to. I would say the quality here is slightly higher than average and less greasy or salty but the prices here are like $7 a dish (super pricy). Our bill for 2 people came out to be approximately $50. Would I come here again? Probably not because of the price.
