Diner Deluxe has been around for a while in Calgary for breakfasts. Usually on the weekends the line ups can get long but if you’re lucky enough to get a seat my favorite here is the omelettes. Ordering the Rocky Mountain Omelette comes with a nice mix of smoked bacon, eggs and caramelized onions (flavor is decent). The hash here isn’t too bad (good seasoning and buttery flavor). Prices here are around $15 – $20 per dish.
We came for breakfast on a Sunday and thought it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the meatloaf hash skillet. It was packed full of flavour and was a hefty portion (I took half to go). My boyfriend ordered the Canadian bacon and tomato eggs Benny. The hollandaise was light and tasty and the eggs cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was inviting and the servers were attentive and efficient! Most importantly, try the homemade jam!!
