This place has been around forever, since I was a kid. I’m sure the original owners are long gone, but nothing has changed, not even the paint. As for the fish, it’s the real deal. I’ve had fish and chippies in England, and no you’re not going to get mushy peas here. The best fish and chips I ever had in my life was in Newfoundland, which was a total body experience. No, this is Calgary. Basically it’s a grease bomb, best compared to fried chicken. But it’s decent and honest junk food you won’t find anywhere else in the city.
