We came here for a friend birthday as he wanted to try out open range. They had a select menu which ranged from steak, chicken to fish. I ordered the elk steak medium rare (tender, lean and gamey) which also came with a side of vegetables (squash and wild rice). Overall food here is delicious with good quality. I’d recommend trying this place out.
Straightforwardly in my opinion the best restaurant in Calgary. The food is amazing, the combinations interesting and thoughtful. The staff is wonderful and there seems to be little turnover- a good sign. These folks have gone above and beyond to accommodate us – once regarding a friend, dying of cancer, not able to eat much, but so wanted to have a last meal there. They provided a series of small portions to allow her a wide range of all her favourites. We are steady customers and will continue to be.
