Maybe 3rd time lucky. First it was happy hill the a Vietnamese place. Now it’s a Chinese/ Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered the dried fry rice noodles and chicken and mixed meat bun with spring roll. We ate and still had a little bit to take home a portion. The beef and pork were tender and the shrimp 2 were tasty. We enjoyed the spring roll tgat came with it.
The restaurant itself is dirty. If you are sitting at one of the booths by the window you can clearly see the build up of grease , dirt and whatever else thats accumulated throughout the years. Its quite disgusting. On the the tables where they used to do the hot pots , you can also tell they dont clean around there because theres still bits of food and dirt stuck in between there. We came just when the restaurant opened so obviously theyre not properly cleaning before or after. For food we ordered spring rolls and 2 soups. Not good! I had two bites and did not finish. No flavour except salt and msg.
I like the bun bo hue here with the big slice of vietnamese sausage/ham and pork knuckle which I’ve discovered are hard to find outside of the SE. Broth is a bit spicy and flavourful, although I suspect they use a bit too much MSG considering how thirsty I usually am an hour later.
I’ve been looking for a new pho restaurant to try out for a while and decided to give this place shot for the first time. This location is fairly easy to get to as they have their own parkcade shared with a few establishments. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. I tried the pho special here and the broth is very flavorful and clear, but they need to improve on the noodles as they broke easy. I like my noodles chewy. They offered a few other Viet dishes here as well so it’s not only a soup and noodle joint. The prices here are similar to other pho places where you don’t pay for more than 10 bucks a bowl. I’d recommend giving this place a try.
Great little Vietnamese place. Reasonable prices. Good food. The Pho broth is delicious. I also get the sate beef on vermicelli almost once a week. The bbq’d sate beef has great flavour. Would recommend. Best Vietnamese in this area
It’s a Vietnamese place in center street. I visited there so many times, at least once a week and I love it!Pro: potion, price, pho soup!Con:none!I not Vietnamese and I have not had enough or authentic Vietnamese food in my life so far. Therefore, I can’t really talk about pho…for me their pho soup is so clean and flavorful! I just love the normal pho soup, I recommend you to just try the soup before adding anything. It is so good!I like their satay soup as well. Sarah soup is spicy peanut base soup, it is very rich and thick. They also have like Chinese wonton soup and Thai pattai noodle and stuff as well. I didn’t hear good thing about Cambodia noodle, but I like their pattai. For appetizer, as other people recommended, onion cake is good. I usually go for shoring salad roll and I like it because it has decent amount of veggies. Some places, it’s mostly noodle inside and I don’t like that. Their wings are good deal, I think. I always go for K&B wings, it’s sweet sauce with a little bit of chili. It’s not spicy. Overall, their dishes are pretty big and good deal. About most of pho menu, you get to choose size, too. Again, I don’t really know if it’s actually very authentic or not, however, to me I like this place and I love the pho soup!!
Tasty vermicelli, spring rolls, and onion cakes! We will come back for sure. The price was reasonable,as well. Service was fast and friendly.
