Finally a great Chinese restaurant ! After trying several Chinese restaurants in Edmonton and being very disappointed , we have found a really good one in the little town of Devon,! We had given up finding anything n the Edmonton area and waited until we visited Calgary to go out for a Chinese meal. I read the reviews on this one and we decided to give it a try . Our server was very friendly . The food was quick to come to our table and was wonderful . Just a short drive from our home too. We defiantly plan on making this restaurant a regular place to go for truly great Chinese food
Great stop for lunch.. I had an odd job in Devon and stopped here for lunch. I had the whole restaurant to myself ( It was around 1:30pm ) and it was awesome. The food arrived very fast. I had ginger beef, green onion cakes and some rice. I can say that it was the best all time ginger beef I’ve had in Canada so far. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Friendly staff and fantastic food! We’ve ordered from House of Goodys 4 times now in the past 3 months and each time gets better and better! We will be lifetime supporters!
Poor delivery. Don’t call thinking they will deliver, it’s a hit and a miss if they have a driver…this false advertisement has lost them a customer.
Delicious!. The food was outstanding. Everything was prefecture cooked with lovely complex flavors. This kitchen compares favorably with the best places I’ve eaten. The grilled dumplings were an exceptional delight. The staff was friendly and the service was good. I would be pleased to return here anytime.
House Of Good Eats!. With all the restaurants we have in Edmonton, you’d think we wouldn’t have to drive out of town to find a decent Chinese food restaurant,….but in our case it appears that way. We have not had any success in finding good Chinese food in the last while and were really giving up hope. I’ve been keeping a steady eye on the reviews to this place though, and we were determined to try it, and if it wasn’t good, then this would be our last attempt in another long while. Originally we were thinking of getting take out and going to sit by the river just to go someplace quiet as we were around too many people lately, too many crowds, and too much noise. When we walked in, however, there sat a nice buffet and a quiet, peaceful restaurant. After huddling in the corner for a few minutes we made the executive decision to eat in and have the buffet! 😀 Of course it helped that we were met by a very kind and friendly lady who told us fresh food was being brought out for us,…which it was,….very quickly. And she kept on top of it too….making sure that everything we wanted was brought out fresh. We ate and ate….and sad to say, did not take time out to take pictures. But the food redeemed our hopes again of happy Chinese food places….and happy full tummy’s once again!! We’re very glad we dropped in here, and suffice to say, we don’t need to go anywhere else but here when we’ve got our Chinese food craving going on! Two chopsticks up on this place!!
