Regular Beef Donair with CheeseRegarded as numero uno in Edmonton, Swiss is hard to beat. Our month long quest for eating all the donairs in Edmonton, always knew of how good Swiss is. The cheese donair was nicely wrapped, sauced to perfection and had some good fresh veggies on it. Not to mention how well the lightly toasted pita was on this thing. It might be the best thing about it. Pop selection is dope. Dr. pepper looking all tasty in that fridge. The service was really fast for lunchtime rush and decently friendly. The one con I had here and many times before is that if you dont inquire about other toppings besides lettuce, tomato and onions.youll get just those three. When I had asked for more toppings, it seemed like the guy taking the order was in pain just hearing about these extra toppings. Regardless, still one of the dopest donairs.Located on 83 st and 144 ave, this place is the tits. Hands down…best donair shop in the city. This place has 6-7 staff working at all times. Tasty, great value and fries are unreal. Recommended.
Well this was disappointing. My husband ordered a donair with extra cheese and sauce, we paid for it and it was defiently not in his donair. He rates the donair as is a 6 out of 10 for the donair. I got a burger and poutine. Burger was great nothing bad to say but poutine was disgusting. The fries taste old and the gravy tastes like the package store bought crap. A bit of shredded cheese and I could have made this poutine at home for half the cost. Won’t ever go back not worth the cost or wait.
Favourite donair spot since high school!! I love how they’re open late so I can go there after work when I have the craving. It’s also located on 82st in the north side which makes it even more accessible to me.I love the portions, the sauce isn’t too sweet and they put just enough sauce that it’s not so messy and not too dry either. I usually order the kids donair which is enough for me and it’s only ~$6! They also have super and jumbo sizes for those with bigger appetites (which are both really big portions)The fries are good especially with the seasoning salt on each table. They’re thick cut and are always crispy and fresh. Yum.I always try to get the food to go because if I stay in there for any longer than 5 mins I’ll smell like donairs haha! But I always end up eating in.I’ve tried other donair places but nothing beats Swiss. I also like how they’re always consistent through the years. I hope they don’t change unless it’s really for the better. They’re already so good!!
I am such a feen for donairs aha! My husband and I actually got donairs from this very shop right before j went into labour with our first child. This place is one of, if not, the best donair place in Edmonton.
Best donair and fries. Great and friendly staff. This is the only place we go for donair. I always ask for crispy meat and they make everything perfect.
