Came to Allegro before the Eskimo game … have been looking for a new place since the closures of Santos and the Italian Place … the food is divine!! You HAVE to have the calamari in the garlic tomato sauce will now be my new go to!! ( I could live in that sauce) and this pasta alla norma … mmm … come hungry though … service friendly but sparodic ( but there was a huge birthday party) I am in the service industry and understand … thanks Allegro for a DELICIOUS meal!!
Found this little gem from just googling Best Italian Restaurants in Edmonton and was lucky to get a reservation yesterday. Very nice small local restaurant, waiter was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the calamari and went with the server suggestion not to have the usual fried breaded calamari and was not disappointed. Will certainly return and recommend, is 1 1/2 hour drive from home but will return.
