Cask and Barrel is great for after work drinks and is a relaxing place to hang out with associates. The food is sub par so I would recommend visiting for pre-dinner drinks and then move one to another establishment for dinner.
Awesome relaxed atmosphere!! The Pinot Grigio was outstanding and really hit the spot on a rainy Edmonton night. We were greeted at the door by an inspiring hostess who made us feel comfortable right off the bat

So-So as an eaterie. great as a pub. The eats at Cask and barrel are pretty mediocre. great concepts in the comfort food department, but mostly the execution is a bit less than satisfactory, and I can’t help but to always compare comfort food restaurant’s to how momma used to make it (and my mother was objectively a great cook).However, that doesn’t ruin it for me. Because as a pub, Cask and barrel is one of downtowns best. with a pretty decent selection of the beer drink and a great atmosphere that’s cozy and has a great, fun loving, but not over-stimulating vibe.Grab a couple friends and have a drink or two!

Great spot! Service was excellent! We just came for a couple drinks and were warmly greeted! Our server made great recommendations on wine, and was very friendly and upbeat! We didn’t try anything off the menu, but it all looked so good. Nice atmosphere! I will be back!
Exceptional service made for a great comfort meal!. We were exhausted after a long day of moving and came to Cask and Barrel as it was close and available. Never have we had such a great server. Kyle was warm, welcoming and hilarious. Food was exactly what we needed after a long day. Wine was also great. The vibe in this place is hip but warm … almost an unheard of combination. We will be back!
