Service at this location always seems to be spotty and the drinks tend to not taste as good as the Whyte Ave location. My partner’s drinks are always filled to the brim while my bubble tea cups are usually only 80% full, despite ordering a different drink each time. Servings seem rather inconsistent since I’ve not had this problem at their other location. They’re also attached to the restaurant downstairs so it isn’t the most convenient location either.
So many BBT places… quickly, cha time, coco, and now gong cha. Maybe the Rogers Arena is bringing international BBT places here, along with the asian dessert places and korean fried chicken. Anyways, this is a bit of a hidden location on 103th street because it is just north of Bodega, Sabor, Old Spaghetti Factory, The Creperie, and Haweli. All the places you’ve come to know but I bet you don’t walk any more north than that in the past. Now that the arena’s here I guess you’d venture north anyhow on that same block. This is an upstairs location, co-locating with XO Bistro (more on that in a separate review). I’d say the decor is new and authentic. The service is decent. The menu is not as big as some of the other BBT places and I think that’s a good thing. Keeping it simple and delicious. I’d say I like this as much as I like CoCo. They often have specials and today I got a oolong tea & peaflower drink – interesting. I like the milk tea with tapioca the best but that’s personal preference. I don’t think you’d be disappointed here.
