We had been coming to Remedy on Jasper for a couple of years and haven’t been comfortable at all. The manager always stares at us. He creeped us out. The food was really expensive and there was nothing that I liked there except their cakes, even if that (most of the time they don’t have the kind I love). We tried other coffee places and nothing. Then we tried Remedy Cafe on 124th and it was somewhat better but had a traumatic experience. First of all I sat on pee on the bus, missed my bus stop and had to walk fast to meet my friend (I couldn’t stop thinking about the pee), plus the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional to my friend. I even complained on their website. They said they were going to get back to me. ITS BEEN A MONTH, really?! WOW! I am so appalled at their lack of customer service. They lost a customer for life. You guys sucks. We will never come back and will make sure we tell the world to never come there again!

Awsome place, the crowd is lovely and the service first class. The food reminds of home. Very cosy atmosphere with casual sitting area strewn around, relaxing and rejuvenating.

First things first, I always thought Remedy specialized in drinks and sweets (like Starbucks or something) but apparently they do more than that. I ordered the iced matcha and it was not as sweet as I thought but the flavor was definitely there. On the other hand, their iced chai was super sweet. In terms of food, their wraps are super filling. The sweet cinnamon sauce that accompanied it on the side was a cherry on top (sweet and savory is where its at). My friend ordered a dhosa, which was also delicious but too huge for both of us to finish which is quite surprising. The pancake itself was flavorful while the chicken made it even tastier. Service was quick and the prices are fair. oliveoiloilpaint.com

This place surprised me big time – so much so that I came back the next day for breakfast! Was in Edmonton for work and stumbled across this very unassuming place and was blown away. The chai drinks are incredible!!! The different curry dishes are also amazing, and so incredibly well priced! Came back the next day and got one of their wraps (which was massive!) and was equally as impressed. Amazing spot of any meal of the day!

There are so many positive and negatives about Remedy for me–it’s a bit of a love/hate relationship. I love that they have gluten-free and vegan options, are open late, have a super chill and casual atmosphere, and have like a billion different drinks, treats, and dishes. I hate that the food just isn’t that great. It’s not made fresh, it’s microwaved, which I wouldn’t mind so much if it was a bit cheaper and wasn’t so incredibly salty. I don’t bother getting a slice of gluten-free cake anymore. I have, on more than one occasion, got a super dried out piece. Who knows how long it was sitting in that glass case? For over $7, it’s just not worth it. The muffins, cupcakes, and cookies are usually quite yummy though. I also absolutely LOVE the DOSA!! This is a must-have! All the dosas are delicious, but my favourites are masala (potato) and the chicken. The chicken can be a bit salty, but at least it has tons of flavour. Also, the dosa is made fresh, and the soup it comes with it so good. Lattes here are okay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get one here. Just get the dosa!

Remedy is sooo good! There food and chai is amazing and the people are so friendly and helpful and seem to really care! My favourite chai is the ginger chai but I’ve tried a lot of them and have never been disappointed. Nice that they have so many milk options for allergies or preferences and cater to vegan and gluten free for those who need those options.the vibe is very nice as well! Give it a try!

Busy place on a Tuesday afternoon. No small wonder though, great coffee, tea and treats. Friendly faces behinds the counter really help with the overall vibe of the place too.Not hard to see why it’s hard to find a seat…..
