Horrible. This all has to do with the outrageously discourteous service and failure to comply with health code laws. It’s a nice pub with a great location and excellent patio setting, but my gf and I went for dinner June 12 around 7pm. I walked in with a coffee from a different cafe and was told by the server to either finish it or she’ll have to bring a different mug. I chugged my coffee and away the cup went. The problem started when the table next to us began lighting up cigarettes. Now I’m sure it’s federal law that smoking is banned from any food and beverage establishment, and smoking zones must be at least 10 feet from the entrance. But as I’m eating, we’re getting wafts of second hand smoke in our faces. The server at the time, Becca (who told me to put away the coffee) walked right past the table without a word while lit cigarettes were in their hands. The people began leaving, and at this point I asked for the manager to make a complaint about having to eat food in a very unhealthy environment. The manager came out with the bossiest snarliesy attitude and defended the server, and said lots of people from different provinces come here and dont know the rules. At that point one of the members of their table came and asked if there was a problem, and admitted and apologized for smoking and said they didn’t know the rules that have been in place for well over a decade. Well, thats not our problem, the management knows the rules. The manager then began making small talk with that patron! I had to bicker for 15 mins before saying I’m not paying for a meal that I couldnt even finish fully because of the second hand smoke. They agreed to let the meal go but still made me pay for the beer. Needless to say, never going back
GREAT PLACE. GREAT SERVICE! I have eaten here maybe 75 times in the last year at the downtown location and the food is always exceptionally well done and the service from the Waitress is always above industry standards. Some waitresses are allstars and exceptional and I highly recommend the place.
Came here for the chicken drumsticks special after work. It was busy but service was top notch. The server was attentive and kept coming to check on us and the food was great! The chicken drumsticks were fresh from the fryer and moist and tender. It wasn’t too overly seasoned and a great price. Would definitely come back as the atmosphere is great and service attentive.
A pub with a history makes the beer taste good. Dark, yet comfortable and cozy feel to it. Service is casual. Food menu is limited but good enough for pub food. Bread pudding for dessert was good. Perfect place if you want to hang out with friends and chat over beers.
My fiancee and I went here this afternoon for a late brunch, and it was fantastic. Not over the top amazing, but it was a great atmosphere, the staff were kind and very quick for our order. The waitress even made a fresh pot of coffee for my fiancee and i; which I thought was very nice as she could have given us the old pot.
Great beer selection! The place to go after work with your co workers! Relaxing and fun! Itreminds me of being back home in the UK. Thank you.
I absolutely miss this place. Reminds me of old irish bars. Nice place if you want to chill in the evening with some beer. Definitely got some good beers. The servers are very nice and know their menu well. Good job guys!
