Good food but ridiculous pricing. Almost a $100 for 3 salads – not a drop of wine or liquor. I’d never pay this without an expense acct – a new Westin high.

Poor service. I’ve been there twice for lunch, the last time we didn’t get our lunch until 12:45. Today was looking like the same scenario, we sat for 15 minutes and no one came to talk to us so we left. I called later to talk to them and there was no answer – surprise! I won’t ever go back. The recession is over, so maybe it’s back to poor service in Calgary like in 2008 – and no consequences to the restaurants, so they don’t care. Hopefully that isn’t the case.
Went for a business lunch. Professional, well-trained staff. I had the tuna dish, everyone else had steak. Food came out quickly, we were all happy with our lunch. One of the best calorie wise menu options in town. For casual breakfast, or lunch. Business lunch was tricky because of the noise level.
Tucked away in the back corner of the hotel, across the hall from the keg is one of my favourite spots for lunch meetings. The servers are top notch and the prime rib on Wednesdays is amazing. A little high priced, but not bad as far as hotel restaurants go. The small lounge area adjacent the elevators is a tranquil spot too, and the staff are veterans that know how to spoil a regular customer.
