Manager is quite rude and condescending when you politely ask a question, organization for shows is terrible. Food is mediocre for the price, drinks are very expensive for what you get. Bar staff is fast and friendly, and very patient, I commend them. Wouldn’t bother going back unless it was for a VERY good reason, there are plenty of good establishments in the city. This is only still in business because the building is fantastic (although decorated terribly). I go back every few years or so hoping for a chance but it never really does.
An Adult Mac and Cheese. As a young kid I loved the Kraft Dinner Mac and cheese. It was a quick fix for the hungry student who ran home from school. Now as a young adult I dont have to reminisce about my childhood when I can just enjoy the same food as I did back in my juniors.Well… Not exactly…This time the Macaroni is actually Penne Rigate, the sauce is a velvet smooth creme sauce, the cheese is Grana Padano (a famous Italian cheese with a grainy texture when it was made)and apple wood smoked cheddar, with bacon and a side of delicious garlic bread.I have to admit defeat, I have tried this multiple times and am not disappointed every time. The cheese is melted beautifully to make it stringy and soft, the penne was fantastic and for those who love bacon… I need not say more.But again, this isnt some cheap stuff Mac and cheese. This is premium, and many have complained that the price is unreasonable, to which I say that Flames Central cannot do amazing quality food with second rate ingredients, the food is so fresh, and locally sourced so that it maintains that high quality. But high quality is also costly.Ill admit that the food is not in my price range most of the time. But when it is… Boy its worth every penny.16 Jan, 2015Mac and Cheese. Great venue for concert! food has really REALLY improved.. The food has gotten REALLY good lately. This is such a great venue for a concert when the upper balcony is open. You can see from almost anywhere in the venue. Bartending staff are unwelcoming and the security guards are incredibly rude. Line is slow to get in. But its a good venue in general. 🙂
Best place to host a party!. We have just rounded out our 1st annual Black Gold Rock Festival held April 17th and I have heard nothing but great feedback ever since. In just two short months we were able to line up three bands including the Powder Blues Band out of Vancouver, 51 sponsors and enough food to feed 600 plus people.This was no easy task and would have been impossible to pull off without the help of Flames Central’s corporate events coordinator Isabella Rawleigh and their Technical services Supervisor Fred Boehli. they made it so easy for us even when we were sure it was time to panic!Throughout the evening there were two managers on hand to make sure everything was looked after and checked in with us regularly, thanks again Myles and Chelsea!!trying to get an M/C and three bands to be where they needed to be at any given time is like herding cats, especially when you have to queue the house music when things aren’t quite in place, thanks for all your help Mike, without you and your trusty headset it would have been amateur hour. I can’t say enough good things about how the evening went and about ALL the staff, the bartenders were fun, the security professional and accommodating. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to throw a kick ass party!Thanks flames Central!S.
Crappy service. Disappointed in our waitress – didn’t do common sense stuff – like bringing napkins with our wings, got my order wrong, generally slow, and just didn’t seem to care. Food was OK. Lots of choices out there I won’t be back…
Absolutely love coming to this venue for flames game, UFC and concerts! Wonderful venue and staff. Simple but great food! Mac and cheese is to die for.
Love it, there is great food, a great atmosphere and just an awesome place to get together with friends and watch the game.
