Went with friends for dinner last night, They were very accommodating on some of the dishes that had four pieces to get us five as I was the odd man in the mix as a single.Food was okay, good flavours and well prepared. Both couples had been before and raved about it, did not make my expectations based on the raves.I don;t need to go back, it was and experience, three hours in all, we sat at 7:30 and finished at 10:30, took an hour to get out first dish.
Went to the last viewing of Top Chef at Foreign Concept and highly enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a limited viewing party menu where we orderedgojchujang albacore tuna pokechili lime fried chickenhoney butter potato chipsThe food was a bit pricey but it was excellent with a modern take on Asian flavors. Their reisling also paired very well the dishes.
It was our first time at Foreign Concept last night. This little gem is a cozy place that I would recommend for date nights or even to catch up with friends. We had a reservation so we did not have to wait at all, we were greeted and seated immediately. The staff are friendly, would offer to hang your coat if you prefer. Our server Brie was awesome and very helpful specially that we are rookies with the menu. We decided to get the Braised Duck Leg Cellophane Noodles which was amazingly fall-off-the-bone good!!! But the star of the show was the Roasted Garlic Caramelized Eggplant, very savory, melt-in-your-mouth greatness and in conjunction with the Jasmine Coconut Rice, will leave you feeling pleasantly satiated. I can not wait to come back and venture out on the rest of their menu.
Went on Valentine’s day. Overall, experience was amazing! The server, ambience and food was perfect. Our server kept mentioning to us how our food will be coming since it was taking a little bit longer than usual due to how busy it was. I thought that was very thoughtful of him. We did order the bluff potatoes, half chicken and 7oz steak and although it was expensive, the food definitely delivered! Will for sure come back!
All the dishes are quite good but nothing is great. There was no defining moment that would make me want to come back to this place. There are a lot of reviews complaining about the price point and it makes sense. Deriving your fusion dishes from Asian cuisine which is generally cheap is hard to justify when nothing stands out.Still service is great and the menu changes often, maybe theyll eventually find whats missing in there take of modern Chinese.
Perfect place, the food was really good and the service was excellent. Definitely will go back again………………………………….
What can I say, other than it was fantastic start to finish. Beautiful charcuterie selection, steak was cooked to perfection, dessert was divine. Service was also very friendly and professional. Recommend.
