My review might be a bit biased because I did come here close to midnight on a Saturday looking for some late night eats. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a pouting and it was mediocre. The sandwich might have been good if the chicken was fresher but the pouting was awful. The fries were cold, the gravy was runny like soup broth and the cheese was cold and wouldn’t melt because everything else was cold. Really don’t think I’ll go back
My favourite place to eat in Calgary I’m so happy my friend took me here! We came here on a Friday night and I ordered the 2 piece chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy but juicy, the waffle was light and airy but had so much flavour I also tried my friends coleslaw it was delicious! The place wasn’t busy, very clean and nice decor! I love it here try this once and you’ll agree!!
I don’t know why the reviews are so bad because I just had one of the best dining experience here ever! My friend and I went here for a late lunch and we were the only ones there. The establishment is very clean and gave us a very welcoming and great first impression. We ordered our food and everything was made fresh to order, so of course we had to wait which was very understandable. The service was outstanding as the guy who took our order asked if this was our first time, explained the menu, brought out our food to us, accommodated us, and gave us things we needed without needing to ask! He even went above and beyond! The chicken was fresh and very juicy, which is hard to come by with fried chicken in Calgary. The place did have a few more customers during our meal. I have yet to try their famous chicken and waffles and will try to do so soon! Overall, I will be a returning customer and will choose this place for my fried chicken cravings!
Like everyone else I waited forever for really bad chicken. No flavour at all. I don’t even remember the price but I wouldn’t go back if it was free.
Overpriced with an unbelievable wait time. Combine this with terrible quality food and literally no atmosphere within the restaurant. Just keep walking straight by, anywhere else.
Worst value. Paid $11 for a large popcorn chicken. While the chicken is really good, the container was tiny. Small fries size. I thought is would be a decent size for two as a midnight snack, but I could have eaten the whole thing myself and then some. It’s roughly a dollar per piece. Stupid. It took quite a while and the counter guy wasn’t very personable.
Story of this relatively new place is straight forward; good food & poor service.Great fried chicken, great fried chicken sandwiches. I should note that last time in, I was helped by a very nice & efficient girl. Every other time the cashiers have been unfriendly and disinterested and incompetent.But if you don’t mind waiting 20-40 minutes, and repeating to a bored looking cashier 3-4 times that your order is for take-out, you get to eat some pretty good chicken.
