Very good sushi and service, went around lunch and was in and out in 45 minutes. Definitely would recommend. A little pricy if you're with a big group…

Nothing that special…. was a bit expensive and the rice on the sushi was hard (I think it’s because it’s mixed with brown rice). Tea for one person is $3.50… ridiculous. Went on a Friday night and there were only 2 other tables eating there… not a popular sushi place I guess!
Stopped in on Friday during the lunch hour and the restaurant was busy. We were lucky enough to get the last two seats at the bar. Between two girls, we ordered the:Kamikaze Roll spicy tuna, tempura crunch, seaweed flakes on top of salmon, avocado, tobiko $13.75 for 8 pieces-I wasnt a fan of the pulverized tuna on top but other than that it was goodReferee Stop sashimi of atlantic salmon on top of salmon, avocado, tobiko, Siracha and volcano sauce $13.25 for 8 piecesSuper kara rock shrimp jumbo tiger prawns lightly battered tempura and coated in mildly spicy vinaigrette $12 for 4 shrimp-I would have preferred the sauce on the side so you could decide how much you wanted to dip. It was a bit too covered in sauce for my liking. The food was average to above average but also a bit pricier. The service was slow.
In my opinion this is one of the best sushi spots in the downtown area. Although there is nothing super fancy about this place you get high quality sushi for a decent price every time. I’ve been here several times now and have never had a complaint. Very professional servers and within walking distance to the LRT!
Probably one of the better sushi places in this city. The sushi is average, but I think the service makes up for it. We had a very attentive waitress and she was very helpful in helping our group of 7 decide on a few different items. Food did take a little bit longer to come out (35 mins), seeing as there wasn’t a lot of other tables there on a Monday night. I’d come back, but maybe in a smaller group.
We weren’t at all impressed by the food. With its pricing, I expected more than just mediocre food that I could easily find at any other Japanese restaurants. Nonetheless, it left us feeling it was more of the prime location we were paying into. We have tried sashimi, sushi rolls, skewers, tempura, and dessert – none of which really stood out and made us think it was well worth the price. fortwoplz.com
The sushi was reasonably priced and the fish was fresh. Service was a disappointment. We were on a business trip and needed individual bills. They argued with us saying that they can’t issue individual bills for more than 3 people. They reluctantly agreed to do so after we said that we would leave if we couldn’t get the individual bills. They did not seem happy about it at all. One person on our table got their food about 20 minutes after everyone else (everyone else was almost done when his food arrives). We had two servers. The one waitress was sharp with us at times and told us that we could not substitute salmon for tuna in a roll. When we asked the other waiter, he contradicted her and told us that we could. On the positive side, the food was fine and well priced.
The Kabuku Rice Bowl is a ripoff…. I got the Kabuku Rice Bowl (take-out only) this week. What a giant ripoff. $15 + GST. Rice, bland chicken, 1 whole asparagus spear, 1 mushroom and 2 slices of carrot. Are you freaking kidding me???
