Worst dining experience ever. Terrible food. Rude service. Was embarrassed for my partner who brought his whole family there. On top of that waiter tried to sneak extra items onto the bill.

I have been coming to Murrieta’s for years. I’ve had several great evenings here with my friends and loved ones. But something seems to have changed. I’ve had several bad experiences lately so now I am done. The main problem is there seems to be a lack of respect for customers. You will not be treated with respect here. The food here has never been very good but I always came for the atmosphere and service. There are far too many places with better food in the area like Hy’s or Teatro. My last visit I had to wait 30 minutes to see the menu. We arrived at 9:30pm so when the menu finally arrived I was told the kitchen closed at 10pm so I cant order anything.I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager arrived she gave me a long winded speech about how the kitchen can’t prepare any food past 10pm. There was no attempt at trying to rectify the situation at all. It was their fault for making me wait.Poor service and poor food doesn’t cut it… There are far too many better places to have nice evening out.

The food wasn’t good. We got the bacon flat bread, the beef ravioli, and the braised beef. The flavours didn’t work well together, and some of the ingredients were low quality (for example tasteless cheap field tomatoes on the flatbread which cost $17). If you’re going to charge those kinds of prices, don’t use the cheapest possible ingredients! Service was mediocre, overall we thought it was below average and overpriced. Likely won’t be going back.

My husband and I eat out a lot. The service we had here with Chris V was unbelievable. He was friendly, attentive, suggestive and not overbearing. It was my birthday and he made the experience just that much better. We come to Murrietas probably 7 or 8 times a year with work functions and friends but this was the best service weve had here and anywhere else in a very long time. The food was excellent as usual and the wine selection was also very good. Chris was the difference this time and made us want to post a review. Just a pleasure, solidifies in both our minds why we always come here whenever we find ourselves in Calgary, and so should Thank you.

Pork cooked to perfection! Mushroom risotto was great & sides were deceptively large. Dessert was only ok unfortunately, but were both still dreaming about our entres! (4/5)

Murriettas changed hands a few years ago, it used to be owned by a (nameless) oil company CEO and it’s not as stuffy as it used to be. The food kind of went lower brow too sad to say. They’re known for their California wine list. It’s a beautiful spot and the bar is a gem. It’s tough to say it’s hidden — being that it has a New Orleans style patio overlooking Stephen Ave — but it just seems one of those spots you don’t get to often.

Highly priced, well dressed, older well established experience. I’ve been here as a newly minted adult or young professional pretending to partake in adulting, and now several times as an actual professional participating in special occasions like birthdays and seasonal holidays (like Valentine’s Day). Experience is consistent with great tasting seafood, awesome fish, and a new experience has been when they have live music on the weekends. Their music selection is great, endorsing one to want to dance, or at least tap along with acoustic refitted songs that everyone in their target age range knows.
