Curiosity got the best of me after seeing the neon sign to the Plus 15. I went yesterday and was actually surprised of the location. I was expecting them to only offer Vietnamese food, but they also have Chinese. I decided on a Sate Chicken sub, $6.50 with tax. Big mistake. I think I paid $6.50 for bread. The chicken was like thinly sliced deli meat, The sate part was when they dribbled some sort of chilli oil on. A couple sprigs of cilantro, carrots and cukes and it was done. Don’t expect any jalapenos. To have some spiciness, I added chilli sauce. I may go back to try the Chinese combo option, just not right away.

Beef Brisket Soup. They’re quite generous with the Beef. The Sate Beef and Chicken soups are okay, but the Brisket is where it’s at. Very tender chunks of beef. They serve their soups quite mild, but there are hot sauces you can add from a table off to the side if your wish is to make it face-meltingly spicy.

Reasonable Noodle Soup. This noodle house is quite hidden. You have to pay attention to the sign on the +15 or you will miss it. I had the satay beef noodle soup. Though it was not authentic, the taste was decent. The brisket was tender. The satay sauce in the soup was garlicky and savory, but not spicy. I had to add extra hot sauce to spice it up. Overall, it was better than a lot of others downtown.

Pho of you want to call it that was very bland. Sate soup not even spicy. Heard good things about the buffet But we won’t walk the extra 2 blocks to find out.
