Great little gem of a place found in a food court! Pizzas are fresh – can taste the tomatoes and cheese isn’t processed. It’s just like neapolitan style pizzas.

Pizza dough served with material which likely is used as food props for photography. From the sauce to cheese and everything in between – tasteless. So tasteless, I started to wonder if my tastebuds quit temporarily.

In all fairness, for a food-court location, the pizza is pretty decent, but the quality can be inconsistent and they aren’t particularly good with any of their non-pizza dishes.Location: If I’m eating in the food court at the Core, this is probably my ‘go-to’ place as I can tell my food is fresh and it’s relatively fast.Food: I know the name is ‘Ripe Tomato’ but I really wish they’d offer more white pizzas. The standard pizzas are decent, the crust is good, but they could definitely use a bit more cheese, and in the margheritas pizza’s cause, more basil leaves! I’ve had good experiences with their specialty pizzas though I don’t recommend their poutine pizza – when I had it the fries were nearly raw and I had to take it back. They do a good job on the pepperoni and meat pizzas. Side dish wise: just avoid everything. I tried the bread bites because I liked salted caramel but they were really overworked, tough pieces of dough. The caprese salad is OK but very under-dressed – it’s pretty much just olive oil, tomato, and mozzarella, with no salt or pepper. They offer tiramisu now, but I haven’t tried that.Service: Fast and efficient, and if you are a student you get a discount. The staff have always been very polite.Overall: If you’re stuck in the food court, not a bad option, but there is better pizza out there! sakuralovely.wordpress.com

Loved it!. Great spot. Everything I want in a napoletana style pizza. Nice char on the outside, soft on the inside. Fresh, quality toppings. Fast and cheap. This place puts to shame some of the trendy spots *cough Una cough* that charge ridiculous amounts for lesser quality pizza.

Bad ventilation. Unfortunately this restaurant has very poor ventilation. My son who has asthma could barely breath while we ordered and we left immediately. Would not suggest for people with breathing issues until they fix the ventilation. Very smoky with a strong smell of bleach.

I wouldn’t say it’s amazing, but the pizza’s are made fresh and handed to you in a pizza box in under 5 minutes. Paid less than $7.00 for a basic margherita pizza, which isn’t bad considering they’re in a downtown food court.
