This place used to be so much better! I haven’t been back for a long time now. Things certainly have changed. New additions to the menu, some good some bad, and some subtractions as well… Saddest change was the removal of the cold press juice and some of the staff (at least the ones I interacted with) aren’t as knowledgeable, detail oriented nor customer focused as they once were. I used to come here every second day or so, but ever since the launch of the poke bowls it’s nearly impossible to get my lunch in a timely fashion so I usually end up at Mercatino’s. The few times I did have a poke bowl from here, it was small and left me hungry after eating it, and looked like it had been thrown together… and don’t even get my started on the cross contamination! YUCK! After seeing the tuna and crab salad beside the other toppings they also use in the grain bowls (guess they aren’t worried about giving anyone an allergic reaction), I opted for only getting the acai bowls (which take FOREVER to make, no matter what time you come). But after the quality of those went dramatically down – skimpy toppings, less protein (when I got the Protein Max), changing the portion size, as well it was really annoying how inconsistent the staff are when it came to providing lids… half the staff are well aware you are walking back to the office and probably want a lid and the other half are completely oblivious and just hand your food to you and walk away and you’re left standing there wasting more time trying to ask for a lid. And speaking of inconsistencies – it’s basically like the quality of your food that comes out is based solely on the staff member working on it. Which is sad, because they should all be trained the same!! Sometimes I would get a grain bowl and it would be nice and full and sometimes I would get one and it would seem a little bare :/ Either way, won’t be back… ever.
Stopped in for lunch to try their Poke bowl. The line was long so I would suggest to go early.I ordered a regular poke bowl with half rice and half salad (mistake – you need the base to be all rice if you want to be full…. I was starving in two hours). I topped it with greens, pineapple, ginger and an aioli sauce (second mistake – all I tasted was the sauce) on top of the tuna. Presentation was pretty but in the end, I was left hungry and unimpressed when these bowls cost $10-$15 depending on the size and any add-ons you pick.
