Vibe.. This place is definitely worth visiting. It’s urban. It’s vibrant. And Nina is a sensational host. I will definitely add this cafe to my list of must-visits when I’m in Calgary.
Love it but not open often. I love this place so much – the food is great with those lovely sandwiches, lattes are awesome, and Nina and Ken are the best people ever. Call before you go though because they often close early or are not open at all.

Fun, creative environment. Walking into Hear’s My Soul is like walking into an art gallery. The local art is incredible and all for sale. It makes for a fun atmosphere. The service is fantastic as well. I ran an event there a couple of weeks ago and they were beyond accommodating.Can’t wait to go back!
Nirvana!. The funky arty creative space everyone wants in an independent coffee house! More European bistro than cowboy calgary this place will make you want to come back repeatedly for the delicious hot and cold beves as well as the charismatic owner who will make your day and maybe your year! Good…but unpredictable. The service is great…when it’s open. Today marks the 5th time I have tried to get a morning coffee and although they claim to be open at 9 a.m., it is 10:17 and they are still not open. Their saving grace is they are the only coffee shop in the area.
Hear’s My Soul = Drinks + Food x Art x (live)Music = Awesome = CHECK IT OUT. Hear’s My Soul Cafe embodies the potential of the East Village’s ongoing transition. Reminiscent in atmosphere to cafe’s I found when living on Canada’s west coast Hear’s My Soul embraces local art and music. It is evident the owner (Nina) is committed promoting artistic expression, as it is quite literally written on the walls. Though there are many pieces for sale dotted around interior the overall decor showcases her perspective. Oddly, surprisingly, or wonderfully enough, I found myself spending an inordinate amount of time in the washroom (I am not being weird so finish the sentence) admiring the vibrant images painted on the walls. If you need an excuse to go down a check out the art Hear’s My Soul offers live music for your ears and everything you’d want for your palate. From coffee/tea, local deli fair, to wine and beer it is easy to squeeze a visit in anytime of the day. CHECK IT OUT, whether on the way to work, for a quick lunch, off to an event at saddle-dome, or attending one of the cafe’s live music nights it easy to quickly become regular (which I have) and you would be doing yourself a disservice for not stepping in.
