Best Italian food in Calgary, I can’t wait to go back. It’s just like going to Nona’s for real authentic Italian food. This ain’t no Olive Garden, Check out the bocce ball courts. molto buona
La Cantina is hidden inside the Calgary Italian Club Building. Not a lot of people know about this place. I was told that most of their clients are Italians. It is more of a casual dinning than fine dinning. The food was really good. I loved their spaghetti and meat balls! The appetizer portions are huge. They could be a meal. If you like Italian food, you will like this place.
What an amazing little gem! Food is super tasty and priced well, staff are friendly. Have been three times now and never been dissapointed!
Yum Yum YUM. The place is hidden. There is a small sign above a door that you enter from the side car park of the Italian cultural society, you might be forgiven for feeling uncertain about if its ok for you to go inside…. You should absolutely seek it out and go inside. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing. Me and my better half discovered this restaurant through a group on that i bought. We have been back several times, and have yet to be disappointed. The meatballs, are wonderful. And if you have a group of people you can play bocce ball.. So far we have been back as a couple a couple of times, but i am excited to host friends and family here for a birthday or what ever.

What can I say! This is Italian food done right! I should know, I am Italian and I have eaten this food since I was a kid at the numerous weddings that this family has catered. The lasagna is exactly how I remembered it, perfect! I have tried almost all the dishes including specials and I cannot find anything negative to say about this hidden gem. I am So happy the family has kept the traditional flavours and authenticity of their dad, Romano
The food is exceptional and delicious! It’s good,classic homemade Italian cooking for the right price.The ladies who served us were very knowledgable about the food and wine menu and there service was superb. This restaurant is truly all about family.My favorite dishes are the Lasagna & the Pollo Parmigiana and for dessert the Deep Fried Cheese Cake.
