Ive been going here for over 15 years at least. Its a small family run Vietnamese/Thai restaurant, clean and friendly people. The food is okay. I recommend you try their beef satay soup (theres peanuts in it for those with nut allergy). Another personal favourite is their fried bananas with vanilla ice cream topped with peanuts. So good! $$ out of $$$$$
It was a great restaurant. Friendly staff. Good food. But its closed now. Went out of business. I will miss you, Taste of Ginger. You got my order right almost every time.
Tried the red curry chicken with coconut rice. It was far below average. The curry wasn’t fresh; tasted and looked like it was frozen and then heated up, like what you get at a food court. We didn’t try the Vietnamese dishes, but if you want Thai food do not come here. Go to Thai bistro in China Town or Khao San Thai on 17th Ave.
