Great value buffet!. I went for the lunch buffet and was very pleasantly surprised to find very flavourful food and at only $12.99, one of the best values in the city. The Chicken Biryani was particularly delicious. I kept going back for more. Tons of flavour. The goat curry was a must. The butter chicken was quite good. The naan was fresh and excellent. The tandoori chicken, however, was pretty bland and the tossed salad was just white lettuce and tomatoes and the veggie pakoras were not great. But the Biryani alone made it worth it. Lots of flavour in the rice (cinnamon, cardamon, etc.) and the chicken was fall off the bone tender. The items they do well have much more flavour than most Indian buffets in town which tend to be bland and dumbed down spice wise. I definitely recommend this little hole in the wall for lunch!

Nasty and Disgusting!. This place is probably the worst Indian/Pakistani/Mediterranean place I have been to in my life. And I have tried a lot of similar restaurants. The buffet was horrible to say the least. The food was stale, mostly leftovers from the adjacent Great Candian Pizza which is a sister store. The restaurant is dirty and the management is rude. The service was as bad as the food. I am guilty of trying this restaurant because of the low price buffet attracted me. But I will never go to this place again and I strongly suggest anyone from even trying it.

Take Out Review. Today I visited this Cafe first time and I am happy with the food & services regarding take out. The staff provided me quick service with quality food. I will definitely visit here again with my family.

They refry their food. So I used to be a regular here when this place was new. It is not even a shadow of what it was before. I ordered a mixed BBQ to go and when I came home, I had a hard look, the meat was dry and clearly looked like it was re-heated/re-fried. They usually freeze their leftovers and re-heat them for next day. Same goes for the buffet. Guys, if you are concerned about your health, don’t go there.

March 2. Stopped here randomly, the game was on, and the smell was good, so I stayed instead of getting random take out. The butter chicken was to die for! The vegetable…something…was pretty good, and the naan was nice. I’ll be going here again.

Absolutely Waste. No taste in any of the food.

Great Middle Eastern Food!. If you’re looking for some very tasty Middle Eastern food, Al-Qud’s is a good choice. They have a $12 all-day buffet that includes dishes from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Mediterranean. When I tried the buffet, I was enjoyed everything they had available, but special mention should be made of the Butter Chicken (more tomato-ey than usual, but nicely – and subtly spiced), the Goat Curry (nice bite; slight afterburn) and the Beef Kebabs (spicy favourful – not spicy hot). There is no ambience – Al-Qud’s is a hole-in-the wall with few decor elements to suggest it’s anything but your average diner, if not for one big screen TV running Middle Eastern programming (the other was playing a major league baseball playoff) – but the seating is comfortable, though the tables seem a bit small.Service was hit or miss – if I’d been with someone else, the lack of vanishing plates might have required using another table to put empties – but to be fair, I was there during a quiet period and there was only one person in the front. I’m sure peak traffic hours are better served. The food is good enough that I’ll go back and, if the quality is maintained, this could become a regular option – and I’m definitely curious to see what else turns up in the buffet.
