Nothing wrong with the poutine per se. For a place that specializes in poutine it’s kind of eh. The cheese curds weren’t squeaky and weren’t gooey. The gravy left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I recently got a poutine at Oak Tree across the street and it was much better.

I’ve been twice now and I unfortunately will not be returning. My friend and I went in for lunch and I ordered the Mac and Cheese Poutine and she ordered the Jalapeo Popper Poutine and we both got strawberry milkshakes. The milkshakes were terrible, I wish there was another way to describe them. They tasted like cough syrup and there was a lot of ice in them so 5 minutes after receiving them they were already partially defrosted. We both took a couple of sips and threw them away. As for the poutines, when a small is at least $10 personally I would expect it to be better. We both agreed that it’s pretty sub par poutine once you get through the initial layer of toppings. The Mac and cheese is only on top and you don’t get very much and honestly I sort of tastes like Easy Mac. My biggest problem was how spicy my gravy was. I wasn’t sure if it was just me at first but after a couple of bites my mouth was on fire, nothing on the menu states that the gravy used on the Mac and Cheese Poutine is spicy. There were what looked to be like pieces of chili pepper in it and I’m not sure if that what was causing the spice but whatever it was was definitely assertive. The service overall was pretty good. Cashier was friendly and brought our food to our table but I’m not going to pay $10 for a small box of fries and gravy just because the service wasn’t bad.
