Love Love this place! Hands down the tastiest freshest food! Love the tacos, but by far the jerk chicken with 2 salads rice and lots of sauce is sooooo delicious have it a couple times a month 🙂 I recommend this place to all my friends and family always 5/5 service and quality of food!
Decent but a bit disappointing. The restaurant itself is fairly nice, but was pretty quiet the whole time we were there. Our server was consistently very helpful and friendly. We started off with beef and chicken Jamaican patties ($3.50 each). They were strangely flat and the pastry was not as nice as others I’ve had, but the flavour was alright. For dinner I decided to try the burrito ($7.25), while my friends ordered the Enchiladas Verdes ($14.50)and the Caribbean Jerked Chicken ($16.50). The burrito came in a foil wrapper, which was a bit odd, but was generously stuffed. However, there wasn’t much meat in it at all (it was mainly filled with rice, although I guess it is somewhat inexpensive). The Enchiladas were pretty good, and stuffed with tender meat, definitely my favourite of the three dishes. The jerk chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, but I really didn’t care for the sauce at all (it tasted very different than the jerk sauce I’ve had at other Caribbean restaurants in Calgary). The hunt for a great Mexican restaurant in Calgary continues.
Went there today for an early dinner. The place is not fancy but it is clean and decorated with Mexican flair. The food though Is more of a caribbean/ Mexican fusion. We sat ourselves then the server came right away to give us the menus. We ordered horchatas ($3), guac and chips ($9), jerk chicken ($17) and blackened basa tacos ($15). Horchatas were great not super sweet or full of ice or grainy. The chips were fresh and home made the guac was tasty too. The jerk chicken was good a bit on the salty side I like the one from simply irie better. My husband loved the tacos I thought they were okay I didn’t like the fact that it had rice in it. They do have regular tacos which are 3 bux each which is cheaper than most places in over priced Calgary. The service was very attentive even though there was only one server and 3 tables. Overall would be back to try their regular tacos.
