Conveniently located close to work, I come here once in a while for a decent chicken shawarma. Service is a bit slow since there is only 1 person making the orders and 1 cashier, so the lineup can get long pretty quickly. The staff are friendly and remember your order over time, which is nice! The donair, chicken, or mixed meat platters (comes with choice of meat, rice and pita) are satisfying and are large portions. The place itself is outdated and the chairs really need to be replaced…all dirty and stained. I usually take my food to go.
Good stuff. I stopped by for a late evening snack and had the falafel wrap. Everything except the hot stuff and feta cheese. The regular size was quite large, I wondered how big the large was. I really liked the pickled turnip. The falafel was moist and tasty. Perfect hangover food, if I was drinking.

One of the better falafel wraps I’ve had in the city. The falafel itself wasn’t dry like most places but very juicy and full of flavour! Nice surprise
A small cafe, Calgary Shawarma has lots of treats and snacks to choose from, as well as a variety of wraps (from donairs to falafels). The prices are good and the atmosphere is really quiet! I’d avoid going during lunch hours since this cafe is connected to a corporate building. The spinach fetair I bought was tasty, and I think they made their own crust/pastry for it. It was unique (since the fetairs I’ve had before were made with phyllo) albeit tasty. It’s not the place to get the best shawarmas, but if you need a quick fix, try this out! jomamaeats.com
