Pretty much your standard Irish pub, but with Vegan Wing Night! If that’s your scene, I’d definitely recommend checking out their vegan wings – the BBQ ones in particular. Slightly expensive beer, decent service, and a cookie-cutter atmosphere: if you’re not here for the vegan wings, I might pass it by for another spot downtown.
I just wrote a review for donegals saying I never go to pubs – but I came to Ceilis for an event. I had to eat something so went with happy hour; at least you pay half price if the food isnt great right? Pbr on tap for $5, fish tacos and arancini. The fish was a bit stinky but what can you select at a pub in landlocked Calgary. The arancini were decent but way too much sauce. For $16 these three items were a steal! But I dont go back just for the food.
