Hmm.. Not especially impressed with the place. There’s nothing to eat that is gluten-free, which is incredibly disappointing. (Closest they come is a quinoa/couscous salad, which unfortunately has couscous.) Service is decent, tea is good (hard to mess that up), but the lack of food I can eat keeps me from coming here very often.
Overall a pleasant experience.. I’ve been into express-o a few times now.The coffee is generic, but pleasant enough.Last time I was in, Tuesday, I ordered a turkey bacon panini. It was delicious! The girl making my latte was very friendly and joked with me while she filled my order, and while she didn’t manage the coffee art she was intending to do, she joked it was abstract, very clever! The owners seem a bit inexperienced, but I will definitely be returning for the cheeky staff, the good food and the music they were playing.
This is the most well kept coffee shop in town. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The new menu is absolutely delicious!!!! Also I have tried a few of the seasonal coffees and they are delightful. Best cafe I’ve been to in a long time. Will most defiantly be going back and bringing friends. Such a great atmosphere!!!! Yummy yummmm.
Barely edible. Had a bacon breakfast sandwich which was cold and had barely cooked bacon which was ice cold:(
Terrible. The girl behind the till gave me a weird look when I tried to order from her, like I was inconveniencing her by being there and their waffles were so horrible I’m not sure I would have eaten them if they paid me to.
Very decent.. They pull Fratello’s Godfather for their espresso- a really good bean, really improved over the years and one Calgary can be proud to claim as its own.No idea what the food is like because I go to to coffeehouses for the COFFEE. And the coffee is good here.
